Tri-Valley Football 2014 DVD Trailer
December 14, 2014
The 2014 Scotties carried on the trend of excellence in the form of a 4th straight MVL championship and the school's 2nd ever 10-0 season (both under current head coach Justin Buttermore). Perhaps the most telling stat of the Dawgs' success is the 34 points allowed by the defense in the regular season (7 by the first team defense), the least amount allowed in the entire state across all divisions. The black and gold came in with conceivable goals of winning the league, finishing the regular season undefeated, and winning a state championship. Tri-Valley took the MVL with ease, beating every opponent by 28+ as their streak of league wins has reached 35; the best the league has ever seen. The Scotties handled their out of conference games against Licking Valley and rival Zanesville, but saw their historic season come to a tough end in week 12 to the hands of state runner-up Athens. This 2014 Tri-Valley group will be remembered for their toughness, record-breaking defense, relentless offensive effort, and continuing the recent tradition of success in Dresden.

Athens Ends Tri-Valley's Dream Season In Regional Semifinal, 41-20
November 19, 2014
The location was different, but the result was the same in a D-III Regional Semifinal rematch from 2013; Athens victorious. Top-seeded Tri-Valley and #4 Athens matched each other virtually drive for drive. However, momentum began to shift towards Athens when QB Joe Burrow found WR Adam Luehrman with :10 seconds left in the 1st half to take a 19-14 lead. The Bulldogs surged again in the 4th quarter, scoring on consecutive drives to take a 41-20 lead while the Scotties couldn't put together enough successful drives. Senior RB Logan Bash highlighted the Dawgs' offensive effort, rushing for 149 yards and a TD. Tri-Valley ended their 2014 season at 11-1, 4-time MVL champions, and ranked 4th in the final Associated Press poll.

Scotties Escape Quakers 21-14, Set Up Rematch With Athens
November 12, 2014
The Scotties didn't put out their best game, but still managed to earn the 21-14 win over a pesky New Philadelphia team in a D-III Regional Quarterfinal playoff game. Tri-Valley's' streak of 10 straight wins of 28+ points came to an end in the Week 11 dogfight. Senior RB Daniel Scott carried the black and gold to victory, notching all of the team's 3 touchdowns on 21 carries for 133 yards. Both teams struggled with turnovers leading to scores, but the Scotties made enough stops late and milked the clock to claim a spot in Week 12. Top-seeded Tri-Valley (11-0) will now face #4 Athens (11-0) at Zanesville H.S. in a D-III Regional Semifinal rematch from 2013 where the Bulldogs topped the Scotties 56-53 in overtime.
