The Morgan Raiders had a massive resurgence in 2016, posting their best record since 2007! After only winning two games over the previous three seasons, the Raiders finished at 5-5. Led by quarterback Dakota Leopold and the versatile Cole Earich, Morgan proved they are not to be taken lightly anymore.
Morgan Shuts Out West M, 48-0

Morgan capped off their best season since 2007 with a 48-0 victory at West Muskingum. The Raiders converted three turnovers into 20 points during a 34-point second quarter. With a 5-5 record, it is the first time Morgan has finished at .500 or better since they went 6-4 during the 2007 campaign.
Philo Dominates Morgan, 40-8

Philo clinched a share of the MVL title with a dominant 40-8 victory at Morgan. Dylan Tweedy rushed for a career-high 156 yards for the Electrics, while their defense limited the Raiders to only 127 yards in the game. The win sets up a Week 10 showdown with Tri-Valley in Duncan Falls, where Philo looks for their first outright MVL championship since 1995.
Morgan Holds Off Crooksville, 20-14

Morgan's resurgence continued with a 20-14 victory at Crooksville! The Raiders were out-gained 255-186, but a Cole Earich pick-six at the end of the first quarter was the difference maker. Earich also caught a touchdown pass from Dakota Leopold to help put the Raiders at 4-4 on the season. Landon Hinkle led the Ceramics with 207 total yards of offense
Morgan Takes Down Maysville, 28-12

The Morgan Raiders won their second MVL game of the season by knocking off Maysville 28-12 at home. Cole Earich opened the game with a 69-yard touchdown run on the first play from scrimmage. Wes Pauley scored twice in the game as the Raiders held off the Panthers. It is the first time since 2010 that Morgan has won two MVL games in a season.
