New Philadelphia Wins First Playoff Game, Beats Medina Buckeye 17-14
For the first time in school history, the Quakers won a playoff game after beating Buckeye, 17-14. Despite starting QB Logan Bitikofer being sidelined with a broken collarbone, the Quakers went into halftime with a 14-7 lead thanks to 2 touchdowns from Kye Crowthers and some stout defensive play. Late in the 4th quarter, the Bucks put together a scoring drive to bring them within 3 with 5 seconds left in the game, but New Phila successfully recovered their onside kick attempt to seal the victory. Now it's onto week 12 for the Quakers, where they will play Akron East at Northwest High School.
