New Philadelphia's 2016 season is the Quakers' best year in program history. New Phila not only won their first playoff game ever, but advanced to Week 13 to become Regional Runner-Ups for the first time, having their season end at the hands of eventual state champions Archbishop Hoban. This year's team without question set a new standard for Quaker Football.
New Philadelphia Loses In Playoffs To Hoban, 34-3

New Philadelphia's playoff run came to an end at the hands of defending state champions Hoban, losing to the Knights 34-3. Despite the loss, the Quakers have a lot to be proud of this season as they are Regional Runner-Ups for the first time in program history. New Phila ends the year with a 10-3 record and Hoban advances to take on DeSales in the State Semifinals.
Quakers Edge Dragons, 27-20, Regional Final Awaits

Coming off their first playoff win in school history, New Philadelphia was looking to keep their season alive in week 12 against Akron East with their 3rd quarterback in 3 games. Freshman Baron May took control of the Quakers' offense and behind a solid performance in his debut, New Phila beat the Dragons, 27-20 in a thriller. Now, the Quakers have a chance to make a huge statement with defending state champion Archbishop Hoban up next.
New Philadelphia Wins First Playoff Game, Beats Medina Buckeye 17-14

For the first time in school history, the Quakers won a playoff game after beating Buckeye, 17-14. Despite starting QB Logan Bitikofer being sidelined with a broken collarbone, the Quakers went into halftime with a 14-7 lead thanks to 2 touchdowns from Kye Crowthers and some stout defensive play. Late in the 4th quarter, the Bucks put together a scoring drive to bring them within 3 with 5 seconds left in the game, but New Phila successfully recovered their onside kick attempt to seal the victory. Now it's onto week 12 for the Quakers, where they will play Akron East at Northwest High School.
Dover Muscles Past Rival New Philadelphia, 24-21 in OT
November 2, 2016
Round 113 between New Philadelphia and Dover saw the visiting Tornadoes edge the Quakers 24-21 in overtime. Despite the loss, New Phila QB Logan Bitikofer broke the school's all-time passing record for a career. The Quakers are now headed to the playoffs for the sixth straight season and will travel to Medina Buckeye hoping to secure the program's first ever win in the postseason.
