Braves Top Cardinals Behind Strong Defensive Showing, 43-7 September 14, 2020 • Olentangy jumped out to a 22-0 lead and held off the Cardinals in a statement victory moving them to 3-0. • The Braves' defense stepped up as they forced three turnovers, two of which were interceptions returned for touchdowns (Caleb Gossett and Daniel Kelly). QB Kaden Doup connected with Landon Johnson on a 48-yard strike to begin the scoring and Johnson would run for two more scores in the win. • Thomas Worthington had Anthony Brewu and Jaydon Harris each with 40+ yards rushing while Reese Dykstra put the Cards on the board with a 5-yard score in the 2nd quarter as the Blue + Red now look ahead to Marysville.

Rushing Attack Spearheads Braves’ 45-33 Victory Over Berlin September 9, 2020 • Landon Johnson and Kaden Doup combined for nearly 220 yards and five touchdowns on the ground, as Olentangy outlasted Olentangy Berlin 45-33. • Johnson had 147 yards and three scores on 16 carries, while Doup ran 14 times for 71 yards and two scores, to go with 68 yards and a TD through the air, to pace the Braves. • This marks the second straight win over an Olentangy school for the Blue + Gold and their first over the young Bears program.

Braves Outlast Pioneers In 7-3 Defensive Struggle September 2, 2020 • Olentangy made Kaden Doup’s 1-yard scoring run in the first quarter stand up in a 7-3 win over rival Olentangy Orange. • Doup completed 8 of 10 for 80 yards, Landon Johnson had 55 yards on 11 carries and Caleb Gossett caught three passes for 32 yards to lead the Braves. • The Pioneers were limited to 174 total yards and 11 first downs, as quarterback Josh Laisure threw for 77 yards on 7-of-10 passing and added 76 yards on the ground and Caden Konczak chipped in four receptions for 52 yards.
