Pick North Outlasts Grove City, Closes Season With 13-9 Win

Pickerington North squeaked past hosting Grove City, 13-9, to close out the year winning three of their last four games. A rainy affair, neither team could gather much momentum throughout the game, displaying spurts of strong play. After Grove City took a 3-0 lead early in the 1st, the Panther's defense helped get them in good positions to score. Freshman QB Jimmy Weirick connected with senior WR Romaeo Whitlow just before the half to take a 7-3 lead, and again late in the 3rd for the decisive score. The Greyhounds quickly responded and had a shot in the final minute, but the Panthers picked off the Grove City QB to earn the win, 13-9. Pickerington North finished the season 4-6.
