Westerville South Football 2014 DVD Trailer December 7, 2014 After a disappointing 2013 season the Wildcats were looking to make it back into the playoffs in 2014. Big performances and highlight reel plays would lead Westerville South to a hard fought 6-4 record. Senior WR/PR Abu Daramy set the kick return record with a 99.9-yard return in week 6 and Senior RB Devan Wade stole the show in week 9 with 385 yards and 6 TDs. Brotherhood and togetherness shined through a tough year for Westerville South who missed out on the playoffs by a fraction of a point. The 2014 Wildcats built a foundation for years to come in Westerville South.

Hoak, Slade Lead All-Central District Selections November 11, 2014 Dublin Coffman QB Gunnar Hoak and Olentangy DE Connor Slade both claimed Player of the Year honors in the Central District after leading their teams to undefeated regular seasons. Big Third Quarter Lifts South Over North 28-21 November 5, 2014 Crosstown rivals Westerville South and Westerville North played a close first half taking a 7-7 tie into the break, but the Warriors would break the deadlock with a running back pass for a touchdown on the first play of scrimmage in the third. From there the Wildcats scored 21 unanswered points starting with a 87-yard TD pass from Lincoln Flood to Abu Daramy. Devan Wade capped off the Wildcats scoring for the night with a 23 yard touchdown run to give South a 28-14 lead. Westerville South would go on to win 28-21 and finish the 2014 season at 6-4, just missing the playoffs.

Wade's 385 Yards, 6 TDs' Carry South Past Jerome 48-46 October 29, 2014 In week nine, Westerville South won in a shoot out against Dublin Jerome 48-46, thanks to a big game by senior running back Devan Wade. Wade rushed for 385 yards with 6 touchdowns. Westerville South led 21-20 at half but the game would remain back and forth throughout. The Wildcats took a 48-35 lead into the opening minutes of the 4th behind 4 second half TDs by Wade. The Celtics managed to find the endzone twice in the fourth, but failed to convert a two-point conversion with a minute left in the game for a 48-46 final. Westerville South faces Westerville North in week 10 to close out the regular season and to keep their playoff hopes alive.

W'Ville Central Contains W'Ville South 45-32 October 22, 2014 Westerville Central beat crosstown rivals Westerville South for the second straight year with a 45-32 win. The Wildcats struck first with a pick six by Marcus Williamson to take and early 6-0 lead. The Warhawks were able to answer back the following drive with a 10 yard run by Benny Snell and would take a 14-12 lead into the half. Central would take over the game in the second half. Gavin Lyons ran in two touchdowns and threw one more. Abu Daramy was able to find the endzone twice for Wildcats but it would prove too little. Central stays on top of the OCC with the victory.
