John Glenn Basketball 2014: DVD Trailer June 17, 2014 John Glenn flexed its muscles throughout the entire season. The result? A 22-4 overall record that was highlighted by an MVL Championship, District Title, and an Elite 8 appearance; the team's 3rd in school history. The boys in maroon and white earned their 4th MVL title in the last 5 years thanks to leadership and consistent scoring by Senior Parker Evans and Sophomore Drew Rackley, with thanks also going to an impressive supporting cast. The Elite 8 appearance marks the team's 2nd in the last 4 years, giving Coach Greg Woodard quite the impressive résumé. This DVD trailer previews the team's full length feature film produced, filmed, and edited by Storied Rivals Sports Media, LLC.

Muskies Fall To Reigning State-Champ Bishop Watterson in Regional Final March 17, 2014 John Glenn hung tough, but couldn't hold off Bishop Watterson long enough. Saturday, the Muskies' season came to an end with the 60-46 loss in a D-II Regional Final at Ohio University's Convocation Center. JG led 5-0 quickly, but the Eagles' experience and tough rebounding gave them the edge throughout the game. In the end, John Glenn couldn't get enough big buckets to fall in the 4th, while the reigning state champion Eagles seemingly had no trouble hitting the big shot. Sophomore Drew Rackley commanded the Muskies' offensive effort with 22 points. The loss ends the fantastic careers of seniors Blake Atkins, Parker Evans, Matt Shirer, and Clay Sturtz. John Glenn ends their 2013-14 campaign with a 22-4 record, an MVL Championship, Sectional and District Championships, and only the school's 2nd ever appearance in the Elite Eight.

John Glenn Defeats Dover, Returns to Elite Eight March 14, 2014 John Glenn surged past Dover, 53-45, to reach their second Regional Final in four years. The Muskies dominated the Tornadoes in the 2nd half after trailing by 6 at the half. Once John Glenn got the lead late in the 3rd, they turned away every Dover run, maintained the lead and secured the win with good defense and free throw shooting. Sophomore Drew Rackley dropped 17 points and has been the Muskies' leading scorer in each tournament game this postseason. The Muskies play reigning State-Champ Bishop Watterson in a D-II Regional Final at the Convocation Center in Athens on Saturday, March 15 at 3 pm. A win would be the Muskies' 1st ever trip to the State Final Four.
