John Glenn delivered another memorable season despite returning no starters from a state championship crew. An impressive 19-win season was highlighted by a sectional title win over rival Cambridge, 2nd place in the MVL, and yet another District Final appearance.
Meadowbrook Claims District Title, Beats John Glenn 58-47

The Meadowbrook Colts are district champs! John Glenn put up a fight before the Colts pulled away late for a 58-47 victory! The Muskies only trailed by three entering the 4th quarter, but Meadowbrook connected on 15/16 free throws in the closing minutes to seal the deal. John Glenn finished the season with a 19-8 record. The Colts advance to the regional tournament at the Convocation Center in Athens to face Vinton County!
John Glenn Suffocates Buckeye Local, 53-38

John Glenn shut down Buckeye Local, 53-38, en route to their sixth district final appearance in seven seasons! Trailing 15-17 early in the second quarter, the Muskies blew the game open thanks to a 20-3 run. The trio of Justin Heacock, Matt Stewart, and Shane Bonner combined for 41 points, and Drake Novak put up 17 for the Panthers.
John Glenn Squashes Cambridge, 62-30 in Sectional Final

The #4 Muskies would jump out to a 13-0 lead and never look back in their 62-30 rout of #10 Cambridge. After a sluggish first two tournament games, John Glenn cranked up the intensity. The Muskies held the Bobcats to 29% shooting while Matt Stewart and Justin Heacock combined for 39 points. The Muskies return to action Wednesday at Indian Valley where they’ll face #8 Buckeye Local for a spot in the District Final.
John Glenn Advances Past Maysville in Final Seconds, 36-35

The Muskies escaped an upset thanks to Matt Stewart’s heroics, topping Maysville 36-35! Brandon Ullman put the Panthers ahead with 10 seconds to go, but Stewart responded to hit the game winner. Stewart and Casey Smith combined for 21 of John Glenn's points as the Muskies advance to host Cambridge in the Sectional Final.
