Meadowbrook Outlasts New Philadelphia in District Semifinal, 56-44 March 10, 2017 The Colts used a dominant fourth quarter to grab a 56-44 victory over New Philadelphia! Holding a slim four-point lead heading into the final frame, Meadowbrook held the Quakers to only six points the rest of the way. Trey Singleton and Logan Wolverton combined for 29 of the Colts' points as they avenged an earlier loss to New Phila. With the win, Meadowbrook advances to the district final where the will face John Glenn!

New Philadelphia Clinches Sectional Championship, Beats Indian Valley 69-56 March 7, 2017 New Philadelphia earned a Sectional Championship after vanquishing Indian Valley, 69-56. With the victory, the Quakers advance and will face Meadowbrook in a D-2 District Semifinal, whom New Phila defeated in the regular season. Tyler Cox and Michael Karl had 18 points apiece for the Quakers.

New Philadelphia Loses Heartbreaker To Steubenville, 64-60 February 22, 2017 Coming off a tough loss to rival Dover, New Philadelphia was looking to finish the regular season with a win at Steubenville but lost to the Big Red, 64-60. Trailing by as many as 17 points in the 3rd quarter, the Quakers stormed back and were down by only 2, but Steubenville withstood their rally. Tyler Cox led the way for New Phila with 22 points on six 3-pointers.

New Philadelphia's Streak Snapped by Rival Dover, 46-34 February 21, 2017 The Tornadoes swept up a hot Quakers squad on Friday, 46-34, to snap their 12-game winning streak and snag the ECOL title outright. An exciting crosstown rivalry drew a sold-out crowd that roared throughout the night. After leading by three at half, New Philadelphia could only muster 12 second-half points on a solid Dover defense. Tornadoes senior Tyler Bardall had a game-high 17 points and the Quakers now turn their focus to making a run in the D-II state tournament.
