Strasburg Falls In Close One To TCC

For three quarters, Strasburg looked like the better team, but a strong finish from Tuscarawas Central Catholic, including an 11-0 fourth quarter run, ended the Tigers' impressive season with a 39-36 loss. Strasburg repeatedly got themselves within a shot of tying the game late, but the Saints clutch free throw shooting was enough to keep them in front until the final buzzer. Shevin Javersak led the Tigers with 15 points.
Strasburg Knocks Frontier out of Tournament, 70-56

After falling into an early hole, Strasburg roared back and kept distancing themselves from Frontier before securing a 70-56 win to move on to the next round, where the Tigers can claim a sectional title. Strasburg’s defense was key in the second and third quarters, where they limited the Cougars to just 19 points. Henry Malcuit led Strasburg with 20 points.
Sandy Valley Edges Strasburg, 61-56

After trailing by 9 at the half, Strasburg worked their way to a late game tie before Sandy Valley slipped past the Tigers for the 61-56 win. Four players scored in double figured for Strasburg, led by Jared Burnworth's 14 points. Danny Bartholomew and Chad Neisel combined for 37 for the victorious Cardinals.
Hiland dominates fourth quarter to soar past Tigers, 41-30

Strasburg gave Hiland all it could handle for three quarters, but the Hawks dominated the fourth quarter to pull away with a 41-30 win. The Tigers took a 28-25 lead to the final eight minutes, but could only score two points in the final quarter. Henry Malcuit led Strasburg with ten points while Shevin Haversack dropped in eight.
Strasburg Stumbles At T.C.C. 60-31

Strasburg won the first matchup of the season with Tuscarawas Central Catholic, but round two on the year wouldn’t prove so easy. The Saints dominated early and never let up in the 60-31 over the Tigers. Shevin Javersak led Strasburg with 12 points. Tyler Colombo had 22 points for the Saints.
