Newark (#2) opened tourney play in dominant fashion with an 84-36 win over Whetstone (#43). A balanced scoring attack saw three 'Cats score in double-figures led by JT Shumate's 14 points. Senior Hunter Dennison played exceptionally well as he knocked down three 3's in the first half and racked up 6 steals. The 22-1 Wildcats play one more at home with Columbus West (#46) coming to Jim Allen Gymnasium on Tuesday, February 28th.
